Thank you for your reply.
The part that I don't understand is that I didn't connect any FFC cable to the adaptor. I only connected the adaptor board to the Jetson board. Is this an issue?
Thank you, -
@hchorsi
Another possibility is that your adp-n1 board is not flat enough when you plug it into the orin. The two protruding places below are shorted to the orin somewhere.
-
This might be the case with my adaptor board since mine also looks like it not flat.
So, do you think replacing the BLM3401 will fix the issue? Or I need a new adaptor board?
Thank you, -
@hchorsi
I think replacing BLM3401 will work. Please note that you must not plug and unplug the connector while powering up. -
Is it fine to use Goford3401 (Link below) instead of BLM3401?
It has the same feature except that the gate-source voltage is +-12 instead of +-20 for BLM3401.https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/goford-semiconductor/3401/13664831
Thank you,
-
@hchorsi Yes.

@veye_xumm Hello,
I replaced BLM3401 on my ADP-N1-V2.0 Adapter Board and also made sure the board does't short. Please see attached images.
Unfortunately, my adaptor board gets really really hot a few seconds after connecting to jetson!
-
@hchorsi Now in this case, we can't analyze the possible causes from the picture.
-
@veye_xumm Any suggestions for me to debug the board? Thank you so much!
-
@hchorsi Sorry, we don't have any good ideas right now. Maybe the last time the board was burned out, it caused damage to other parts of the board as well.

I use IMX335 along with ADP-N1-V2.0 adapter board on Jetson Orin. I want to make sure that I connect the adapter correctly and properly.-
Should I connect the adapter board to a 12V external supply for imx335 (for a single camera)?
-
Can the adapter be connected the jetson without any camera or FFC cable attached to the adapter board?
-
Do I need at least one FFC cable connected to the adapter board before connecting to jetson?
-
When should I connect the adapter/camera to the jetson, before powering up the jetson or after powering up?

Of course, the operations of connecting and disconnecting the camera were performed when the Jetson board was powered off.

I am interested in running IMX335 at 500fps. Is it possible to do this openCV or modifying "veye5_mipi_i2c.sh" file? Could you please let me know how?
Thank you -
- The maximum frame rate supported by IMX335 is only 60fps.
- The VEYE-MIPI-IMX335 module has ISP function, so the maximum frame rate is not only limited by the sensor's capability, but also limited by the ISP chip's capability.
The specific capabilities are stated in the datasheet:
5M (2592x1944P) @ 20fps, 5M (2592x1944P) @ 12.5fps, 4M (2560x1440P) @ 30fps, 4M (2560x1440P) @ 25fps.
-
@veye_xumm Thank you for your reply.
Would it be possible to disable ISP?
and then reduce the pixel numbers (say 2592(H)×250(V) pixels ) to run at higher frame rates? -
@hchorsi I'm sorry, due to the limitation of the ISP solution, this camera does not support ROI function for arbitrary sizes.
